Terms of service
Effective 12 October 2026 · Version 1.0
The short version
- The software is MIT-licensed. The MIT License governs your use of noro. Nothing here takes away rights that license gives you.
- These terms cover the website noro.to and its documentation, plus a few points about using noro with other companies’ services.
- noro is free and comes with no warranty. Our liability is limited as far as the law allows.
- Your model providers’ terms apply. You use OpenRouter, Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, TypeSafe and the rest under your own agreements with them. Subscription CLI writers are for your own personal use.
- You own your data and your reports, and you’re responsible for them. Review every report before you send it. noro is not financial, legal or advertising advice.
Who we are and how these terms apply
noro is an open-source project maintained by the noro contributors. noro.to is operated by [OPERATOR LEGAL NAME] (“we”, “us”). By using noro.to you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site. You can still use the software under its license.
If you use the site on behalf of a company, you confirm you can accept these terms for it.
The software and its license
The noro software, including the npm package @noro-to/noro, the Docker image, the plugins, the skill and the MCP server, is licensed under the MIT License. That license, not these terms, governs copying, modifying and distributing the software, and it includes its own warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability. If these terms conflict with the MIT License on the use of the software, the MIT License wins.
Third-party packages that noro depends on come under their own licenses, listed in each package.
The website and documentation
You may read, link to and share pages from noro.to. Code samples and commands in the documentation are licensed under the MIT License, so you can paste them into your own work. The rest of the site’s text, design and graphics are © noro contributors, except third-party logos and marks, which belong to their owners.
When using the site, don’t:
- attack, overload or try to break into the site or the systems behind it
- scrape it in a way that degrades service for others
- frame or copy it in a way that suggests it is yours or that we endorse you
- use it for anything unlawful
We may change, suspend or remove any part of the site at any time.
Your use of third-party services
noro works by calling services you choose and set up yourself, such as OpenRouter, TypeSafe, Anthropic, OpenAI, Google (Gemini API and Vertex AI), Amazon Bedrock, Microsoft Azure, Mistral, DeepSeek, Groq, Ollama, LM Studio, GitHub and npm. For each of them:
- your own agreement with that provider governs your use, including its usage policies, fees, rate limits and data handling
- you are responsible for the charges your runs create, including paid test calls you approve
- we are not a party to that agreement, and we don’t control, endorse or answer for those services
Subscription CLI writers
The claude-cli and codex-cli writers run your own installed, logged-in Claude Code or OpenAI Codex CLI on your own subscription. noro starts the vendor’s unmodified program and never handles your login. These writers are for your personal use on your own machine. Don’t use them to provide noro as a service to other people, share a subscription login, or get around a vendor’s usage limits. Your use must follow the vendor’s terms, which can change. noro does not support Google consumer subscriptions (Google AI Pro or Ultra), because Google’s terms forbid using them with other products. Use a Gemini API key instead.
Your data and your reports
You own your inputs and outputs. As between you and us, the exports you process and the reports noro produces are yours. We claim no rights in them and never receive them.
You’re responsible for your data. Make sure you have the right to process the exports you use, including any client data, and to send the labels and prose described in the privacy policy to the providers you choose. Don’t feed noro data you aren’t allowed to share with those providers.
Review before you rely on it. noro computes every number in code and checks that each number in a report traces back to your data. That makes reports more reliable, but not infallible. An export can be wrong or incomplete, a column can be mapped incorrectly, a rule can miss a problem, and a model’s wording can mislead even when its numbers are right. Read every report before you send it or act on it. You are responsible for what you publish, send or decide.
Not professional advice. Reports describe advertising performance data. They are not financial, investment, legal, tax or advertising advice, and they don’t guarantee any campaign result.
Trademarks
“noro” and the noro logo identify this project. You may use them to refer to noro accurately, for example in an article or an integration, but not in a way that suggests we endorse you or your product, and not as part of your own product name without permission.
Product names and logos shown on noro.to, such as those of AI tools, model providers and ad platforms, are trademarks of their respective owners. We show them only to say which products noro works with. noro is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
Contributions
Contributions to the noro repositories are made under the MIT License, the same license the project uses. This matches GitHub’s terms of service, which apply when you contribute on GitHub. By submitting a contribution, you confirm you have the right to license it that way.
Security problems
Please report vulnerabilities privately, as described in SECURITY.md, not in a public issue.
Copyright complaints
If you believe something on noro.to or in a noro repository infringes your copyright, send a notice to [CONTACT EMAIL] with:
- your name and contact details
- a description of the copyrighted work
- the address of the material you believe infringes it
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner
- your physical or electronic signature
For content hosted on GitHub, you can also use GitHub’s DMCA process.
No warranty
noro.to, its documentation and the noro software are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don’t promise that the site or software will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that reports will be complete or correct.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, neither we nor any noro contributor will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, clients or goodwill, arising from your use of the site, the documentation, the software, any report it produces or any third-party service, even if we were told such damages were possible. Our total liability for any claim relating to these terms or the site is limited to USD 100.
Some laws don’t allow these exclusions. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for gross negligence or willful misconduct, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law. If you are a consumer, you keep any mandatory rights your local law gives you.
Indemnity
If you use noro for a business, you agree to cover our reasonable costs from third-party claims that arise from your breach of these terms, your breach of a third-party provider’s terms, or the data you process or the reports you publish with noro, to the extent the law allows.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Each version gets a new effective date and an entry in the change log below, and the full history is public in the site’s repository. For material changes, we’ll also note the update in the noro changelog on GitHub. If you keep using the site after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of [VENUE] have jurisdiction over any dispute, except that if you are a consumer, you may also bring proceedings in the courts where you live, and you keep the protection of your local consumer law.
General
These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the site. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we don’t enforce a term right away, we haven’t waived it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours to a successor that operates the site.
